ENA Register, Week Four: 70 Verified Kits, EcoFlow and Zendure Pass, Octopus Returns

As at 23 September 2026, the ENA's Type Test Register lists 79 devices under its Plug-in Solar Type, and 70 of them are verified. On 8 September it was 52 and 47. This report covers the two weeks in between, and it's the biggest change since the rules came in: two of the brands most people search for, EcoFlow and Zendure, now have kits you can legally plug in, and so does Octopus.

A kit can be sold and used under the plug-in route in Great Britain only if it has a Compliant record on this register. We read the whole Plug-in Solar list ourselves; the certification tracker is the live version, and the week three report covers the register up to 8 September.

EcoFlow's STREAM plug-in kits pass

EcoFlow's first record under the Plug-in Solar Type went on the register on 26 August and sat at Non-compliant for four weeks. On 22 September it came back revised, as ECOFL/21128/V1/A3, and assessed Compliant. It now covers three STREAM plug-in kits, for flat roofs, facades and pitched roofs. A second record published the same day, ECOFL/21606/V1/A1, pairs the EF-PS-800 microinverter with SPDG505 panels, and that's verified too. A third kit built on the same microinverter, from VALE (VALEG/21503/V1), was verified on 15 September 2026.

Only those exact kits are verified. A STREAM microinverter bought on its own, or with panels that aren't in one of those kits, isn't covered, and EcoFlow's battery systems, like the STREAM 5000, still need an electrician. We haven't yet found the verified kits on sale under a matching model name, so check the model on the box against the register before you buy.

Zendure: 6 SolarFlow 800 kits, none with a battery

On 21 September the ENA verified 6 Zendure kits in one go. Each is a SolarFlow 800 with two solar panels, sold with floor, wall or balcony brackets, some with extension cables. Zendure describes the SolarFlow 800 as a smart microinverter that works with or without a battery, and every verified kit is the version without one.

That distinction matters. Plug the kit in as sold and it's a verified plug-in device. Add a Zendure battery and it becomes a battery system, which the plug-in route excludes, so it needs an electrician. Zendure's UK store doesn't list the verified kits yet. Octopus is back, and Compliant

Octopus's M1-800-E was Non-compliant on 2 September and had left the register by 8 September. It's back as OCTOQ/21124/V1/A5, dated 8 September 2026 and assessed Compliant. Octopus has been selling one- and two-panel bundles since 28 August and says deliveries are running through September and October. Its product pages still don't name the model, so check that the label on the kit you receive matches the record. Our Octopus report has the bundle details.

City Plumbing's own kits, from £336

City Plumbing already had eight verified two-panel kits under its own name. On 8 September it added 5 single-panel kits, each one panel with a Hoymiles HF-800-WB microinverter, and it now sells some of them on its website. They're the cheapest verified kits we've found, and they're the first verified kits we've seen below the £400 to £600 range DESNZ modelled.

The other new verified kits

Four makers are on the verified list for the first time: TSUNESS, The Solar Centre, Segen and VALE. TSUNESS also had its earlier record revised and verified. Modular Solar added two versions of its units with a 400 W inverter. Here's every record that is new, or back, since 8 September:

• TSUNESS Co., Ltd, TSOL-ESK800-U: TSUNE/21103/V1/A2 (Non-compliant) is now TSUNE/21103/V1/A4 (Compliant), dated 15 Sept 2026.

Gone, and still under review

2 records have left the register: Hoymiles HF-800-WB (HOYMZ/21325/V1) and Hoymiles HMS-800-2WB (HOYMZ/21326/V1). These were the bare Hoymiles microinverters, submitted on their own and assessed Non-compliant. The City Plumbing kits built on the same microinverters are verified as complete kits, and that's what the register assesses.

9 records are Non-compliant, which on this register means the ENA wants more information, not that the device failed:

Anker still has no record under the Plug-in Solar Type. Its UK product, the Solarbank 4 Pro, is a battery system that has to be hardwired.
